CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING IT TO THE NEXT STAGES OF DISCOVER!

These are the details you need to know about the day.

1. You should have received an email with your PERFORMANCE DATE & TIME.

2. DISCOVER takes place at Westpoing Blacktown Level 4.

3.  Please arrive at least 1 hour before your performance time to register. For example: if your performance time says 12 noon, arrive at 11 am to have enough time to register. 

4. Registrations take place at our Registration Green Room (Please see point “1” in the site map below). 

5. After you register, you will be asked to wait in the green room until your performance time. One parent or guardian may accompany children under 13 years of age in the green room. The rest of the family and friends coming with you are invited to join the audience. You may bring as many friends and family as you like. Entry is free.

6. We will escort performers from the holding area to Backstage  before in groups of 5 performances 30 min before they perform. If you leave the holding area you may lose your spot to perform, so please make sure you’re present when your turn is close.

7. Participants are divided into age categories: Kids (5-12), Teens (13-19), Adults (20+)

8. Participants who successfully make it through will be announced at the end of the day. They will also receive an email the following week with more details about the next stages of the competition.

OTHER NOTES:

PARKING & TRANSPORT:

• Parking is free for 3 hours at Westpoint Shopping Centre.
• Westpoint Shopping Centre is only 100 meters away from Blacktown Station. 

WHAT TO BRING:

• We encourage you to bring water and snacks. You can always get food and snacks at any of the Wespoint shops. The Green Room has toilets and mirrors.

BACKING TRACKS AND /OR TECH REQUIREMENTS: 

• It is ESSENTIAL that you send your backing tracks or/and your technical requirements(e.g. 2 x microphones, One input for acoustic guitar, etc).
• We do not supply backline (instruments) for performers, each performer must bring their own instruments or gear necessary to perform. We do supply microphones and P.A. System.
